Nathan Parker Briggs is the pen name of German author Michael Hamannt. In his home country, he is best known as the author of the bestselling series The Whispering Books, which has recently been released in English. His love for fantasy began in his teenage years and has only grown stronger over time. For the English market, he adopted the pen name Nathan Parker Briggs—why? Simply because he loves the name Nathan and has always dreamed of having a cool pen name.

A little more about Michael: he writes urban fantasy and romantic fantasy novels and has a deep passion for Scotland. In his free time, he enjoys playing countless board games and devouring books as if there’s no tomorrow. For him, reading is dreaming—and what would life be without dreams?

He has a particular fondness for English, Scottish, and Irish myths, which is why many of his stories are set in Great Britain. London, with its vibrant neighborhoods and rich cultural diversity, provides endless inspiration for thrilling tales of magic, enchanted libraries, grumpy ghosts, and captivating witches and wizards.

What else does Michael love? Cats! His feline companion, Alina, is now over 17 years old—a refined elderly lady who spends her days napping on the sofa or curled up in her cozy cat cave. Quite enviable, wouldn’t you agree? He also has a serious sweet tooth, indulging in ice cream, gummy bears, and cake whenever he can.
